EX-SOLDIER JAILED FOR BURNING KORAN

I don't condone koran burning. I think more people should borrow one from a library, if your local library hasn't closed yet and read it.

Read the koran and make your own mind up for yourself whether you think islam is a religion of peace or not.

Now I can understand why this young man, Andrew Ryan, stole a koran from the library and publicly set fire to it after watching the, 'poppy burners'.

I wonder how many people in Britain felt like getting hold of a koran and setting fire to it after seeing the poppy burners insulting our war dead and causing distress to those families who have recently lost loved ones in foreign wars.

Andrew Ryan has been sentenced to 70 days. Sitting at Carlisle Magistrates' Court, District Judge Gerald Chalk described it as a case of "theatrical bigotry".

He said: "It was pre-planned by you as you stole the book deliberately.

"You went out to cause maximum publicity and to cause distress."

Ryan struggled with security guards in court after the sentence was passed.

While being handcuffed he shouted: "What about my country? What about burning poppies?"

About 10 people were in court to support Ryan, and as they left the court they shouted "do you call this justice?".

After sentencing, Insp Paul Marshall, of Cumbria Police, said: "This incident was highly unusual for Cumbria as we have such low levels of hate crime in the county."

Let's remind ourselves what punishment was dished out to the poppy burner.

A MUSLIM extremist's tiny £50 fine for burning poppies on Armistice Day was greeted with fury last night.

Emdadur Choudhury, 26 - on £800-a-month benefits - could have been fined £1,000 for the insult to our war dead and sneered: "It's only £10 more than a parking ticket."

And he showed his contempt for Britain after yesterday's hearing by saying: "I couldn't care less. I don't care about soldiers that died."

Choudhury burned poppies in front of horrified service families as Islamic militants howled "British soldiers burn in hell" during a two-minute silence on Armistice Day last November 11.

District Judge Howard Riddle ruled that the dad of two's behaviour had to be weighed against his right to protest enshrined in the Human Rights Act.

Justice officials confirmed that £50 was the lightest possible fine.

Our patience is now at an end, as is the time during which the Politically Correct elite could persecute the people and denigrate the traditions and faith of this land without suffering any consequences."

Explaining the party's new extra militancy, Nick Griffin urges everyone to "look at the records of the people behind this anti-Christian Islamo-Marxist jihad. This isn't some kind of mistake by a bureaucratic Jobsworth; these people are engaged in a deliberate campaign against Christian values and our traditional culture".

Who's to Blame at Wakefield Housing?

Chief executive KEVIN DODD. This overpaid parasite rakes in £157,000 a year. Back in 2000, Dodd hit the headlines when, as Wakefield's head of housing, he cut the benefits of a 95-year-old RAF veteran who'd received compensation for having been attacked by a drunk.

Equality and Diversity manager JAYNE O’CONNELL, who believes that the women-oppressing burqa is “discrete”. Another overpaid Jobsworth, she was recruited from failed bank HBoS. The money would be better spent sorting out blocked drains!

Environmental manager DENIS DOODY. Happy to persecute Christians because this hardcore Labour activist admires Marxist mass murderer Che Guevara. Also writes for the pro-IRA and pro-Islamic terrorist Revolutionary Communist Group.

Mr. Griffin went on to promise the PC bullies that, if they do not stop persecuting Mr. Anderson, "We're going to make sure all their neighbours know all about their anti-Christian bullying.

"We've had enough of PC parasites insulting and bullying decent English people and running down our traditions. So we're organising together to fight back. I call on everyone who reads this to call or email Wakefield District Housing on the number or address shown on the leaflet.

"And I ask that anyone with any inside information on these people, especially any possible link to the sinister Common Purpose organisation, to let us know straight away. Because, together, we can stand up for Christian values and beat the PC bullies."

WHAT CHARLIE WRAITH FORGOT TO MENTION TO THE PEOPLE OF CUDWORTH WARD

Many residents in Cudworth ward will have by now received a vote Labour leaflet.

A basic leaflet which more or less slags the Tory- led Government off in every other paragraph for the Labour Governments failings.

What Charlie Wraith fails to mention in his leaflet is that Barnsley council has £58.3m in reserves.

And the cuts which will get worse for Barnsley residents are being used for political point scoring by the Labour controlled council.

Now another issue which Charlie has forgotten to add to his 'What we have achieved' section is his support to the relaxation of building restrictions at the muslim community centre, which is no longer big enough to meet the needs of the muslim community in Barnsley. Click on the above minutes of the meeting that Charlie Wraith chaired and read for yourself.

Now for regular readers of this site and other nationalist sites this will come as no surprise. Local councils in Towns and Cities up and down the country have been pandering to the needs and demands of the muslim community until they reach a point of no return. Once a place is dominated by towering minarets and domes, islamification of that place is well and truly embedded. The question is, do you want Barnsley's demographics to change beyond recognition?
It really is your choice.

You may know it's happening but would like to think Barnsley will not become islamified until after you're dead and buried, well think again, The pressure is now on the planning department to relax restrictions and that will be just the start.

If you're undecided then think of future generations of Barnsley people who will become a despised minority in their own town. Look at Rotherham, a town not far from Barnsley. And when islamification of a place is not far from completion, this is what you get.

If Cllr Charlie Wraith is elected again this year he will be remembered for his achievement in helping the islamification of Barnsley.

Ian Sutton, Barnsley Branch Organiser, welcomed the assistance from Andrew Brons MEP, who helped with the busy Saturday trading on the now famous high street stall.

“Mr Brons attracts a lot of our supporters and well wishers to the stall, it is reassuring to see how many shoppers recognise him as their MEP”, said Mr Sutton

And each person will tell you about their own natural instinct telling them something isn't right.

When you have that feeling it never goes away and I know from personal experience it can't be switched off.

PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN TAUGHT TO RESIST FAMILY VALUES

A teacher training pack, supported by a Government agency, says young boys in primary schools should be encouraged to try on dresses or dance with pompoms in the cheerleading team.

The pack is produced by Stonewall, Britain’s top homosexual lobby group, and has been sent to primary schools.

An accompanying DVD, backed by the Teacher Development Agency (TDA), features primary school teachers giving “best practice” tips from their own experience.

One head teacher on the DVD says pupils should be taught to be resilient to the values of their parents and grandparents.

Pompoms

Another teacher encourages boys to try on dresses, while another says it is wonderful for boys to dance with pompoms in the cheerleading club.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Stonewall received a £25,000 grant from the TDA, a Government agency set up by the Department for Education.

In addition, officials at the DfE are consulting with Stonewall on the Government’s current review of sex education guidance.

Sissy Duckling

The teacher training pack recommends using pro-homosexual storybooks for reading in class.

One book, And Tango Makes Three, is about a penguin chick raised by two male penguins.

Another is called Sissy the Duckling and another features two princes who fall in love and live happily ever after as King and King.

Agenda

The Stonewall teachers’ pack suggests getting primary schoolchildren to act out such books as school plays.

The pack is part of Stonewall’s “Education For All” campaign which pushes the group’s agenda in schools.

The campaign is supported by 70 organisations including Government departments and local authorities.

Disturbing

Schools and local authorities are urged to use the material to demonstrate they are complying with the Equality Act 2010, which obliges public bodies to promote equality.

The Christian Institute’s Mike Judge said: “Tax-paying parents expect a decent education for their little ones.

“Getting young boys to dress in frocks and join the cheerleading team isn’t what they have in mind.

“But perhaps the most disturbing thing is teaching children to resist the values of their parents and grandparents.”

On 15 March 2004, Kriss Donald was abducted from Kenmure Street by five men associated with a local Asian gang led by Imran Shahid. Kriss was taken on a 200-mile journey to Dundee and back while his kidnappers made phone calls looking for a house to take him to. Having no success at this, they returned to Glasgow and took him to the Clyde Walkway, near Celtic Football Club's training ground.

There, they held his arms and stabbed him 13 times. He sustained internal injuries to three arteries, one of his lungs, his liver and a kidney.

The five men convicted of the abduction and murder were convicted of racially aggravated offences. After the murder, some of Donald's attackers fled the United Kingdom and sought refuge in Pakistan. Three suspects were arrested in Pakistan in July 2005 and extradited to the UK in October 2005, following the intervention of Mohammed Sarwar, the MP for Glasgow Central.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS JAILED AFTER DRUGS RAID IN BARNSLEY

THREE illegal immigrants have been jailed for their part in a £700,000 cannabis factory set up in Barnsley.

Quy Pham, aged 26, Ngai Nguyen, 42 and Vin Nguyen, all of no fixed abode, were found hiding among nearly 2,000 cannabis plants growing in two homes.

They pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce cannabis and were each jailed for two years and nine months.

Elizabeth Martin, prosecuting, said it was a very extensive cultivation. There were 864 plants in a house on Park Road, Worsbrough and 923 in a neighbouring home. The total street value was £768,000.

Sheffield Crown Court was told the men arrived in Barnsley separately on the understanding that they would be working as chefs.

But they were then forced to work as ‘gardeners’ in the drug factory.

Peter Pimm, representing Ngai Nguyen, said: “By coming here as an illegal immigrant he exposed himself to exploitation. He was vulnerable.”

Robert Sandford, for Vin Nguyen, said the men were ‘expendable commodities’ working for others.

Judge Michael Murphy QC, said: “If the word gets back to where you come from that there is money to be made from this sort of criminality without punishment and a free trip home this will become even more of a problem.”

Nick signs Cyprus Declaration to raise awareness of the threat of Islam

9TH MARCH 2011: YESTERDAY afternoon in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Nick Griffin MEP signed a Written Declaration on the work of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus.

"I was delighted to sign this declaration," Nick told his website.
"The funding is already in place so it won't increase what Britain has to pay. Most of the people who have 'disappeared' were actually murdered by the Turks after the invasion of the island and this campaign is a good way to help to raise awareness of the threat that Islamisation poses to the Western World," he added.
The Declaration stated:
The European Parliament, having regard to Rule 123 of its Rules of Procedure,
A. whereas during and after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 around 2 000 individuals from both the Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities were reported as missing,
B. whereas the whereabouts and fate of many of these individuals are still unknown,
C. whereas the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP), which is supported financially by the United Nations, the European Commission and other donors, works to establish the fate of those reported missing,
1. Fully endorses the work of the CMP and recognises its post-conflict role in promoting truth, remembrance and reconciliation in Cyprus;
2. Calls on the European Commission to continue to allocate sufficient resources to the CMP to enable it to fulfil its important mandate;
3. Calls on the Governments of Turkey and Cyprus to continue to support the CMP's work, to redouble efforts to account for those individuals still listed as missing and to ensure that all information that could facilitate the mission of the CMP is made freely available to it;
4. Instructs its President to forward this declaration, together with the names of the signatories, to the Council, the Commission, the parliaments of the Member States and the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus.

10th March 2011: Yesterday, Dominic Carman (right), the Liberal Democrat candidate in the recent Barnsley By-Election, was interviewed by Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics Show.

During the interview he accused the Barnsley people of intolerance and homophobia. He then made an unprovoked attack on me. He said, "He is an avowed Nazi and an admirer of Adolf Hitler".

It is on record that I was a member of the National Socialist Movement between the ages of seventeen and eighteen. I am now sixty-three, nearly sixty four - forty six years ago, nearly half a century! From the age of eighteen, I have been a committed supporter of Parliamentary democracy and the rule of law. The parties of which I have been a member, since then, have all been committed to democracy.

Many Labour politicians have been members of the Communist Party in their teens, twenties and even thirties. Dennis Healey was a member of the Communist Party at the height of the Stalinist purges. Would anybody be allowed to call Mr. Healey an avowed Communist and admirer of Joseph Stalin? However, Andrew Neil allowed an exactly comparable accusation about me to stand as though it were incontrovertible fact.

I am not a supporter - avowed or otherwise - of Hitler or any other totalitarian. I am utterly opposed to aggressive wars, the ill treatment of people on any ground and I am committed to democracy and individual freedom.

Carman's irrational and malicious outburst can be explained by the fact that he was pushed into sixth place by an independent, who was beaten by us. His public denunciation of his late father, the famous barrister, reveals a disturbed and vengeful personality.

It is not insignificant that Carman was a member of the National Front in the late 1970s when he was in his teens. If the National Front had been a nazi organisation (which it most certainly was not), he would by that fact alone now be "an avowed Nazi and an admirer of Adolf Hitler". The real object of Carman's obsessive hatred is himself.

A Glasgow city councillor has been relieved of his duties after making inappropriate comments about an alleged nine-year-old girl rape victim.

Labour councillor William O’Rourke allegedly asked a police officer investigating the case if the child "wanted it to happen".

The remark is said to have been made while Councillor O'Rourke was chairing a disciplinary panel hearing into the case of a care worker who was sacked after being accused of raping the girl - a claim denied by the accused.

Council leader Gordon Matheson sacked Councillor O'Rourke from all his civic posts after the remarks surfaced in the Sunday Mail newspaper.

Councillor O’Rourke was alleged to have questioned the promiscuity of young children, and their provocative dress sense. It was reported the police officer who was giving evidence then made an official complaint following the comments.

On Monday, in a statement, Glasgow City Council said Councillor O’Rourke has been removed from his positions on the Strathclyde Police Authority, the Personnel Appeals Committee and the boards of council-owned companies City Parking and Glasgow City Markets.

He has also been suspended by the Labour Party.

Councillor Matheson said: "Councillor O’Rourke’s behaviour falls way short of the standard I and the public expect of Glasgow councillors.

"Cllr O’Rourke’s comments to the Personnel Appeals Committee were disgraceful. We are elected by the public to protect the vulnerable people of our city. A shameless Muslim extremist who burned a poppy on Armistice Day today boasted that would wear his £50 as 'a badge on my shoulder'.

Emdadur Choudhury , 26, who was convicted at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court of a public order offence, also claimed the charge levelled against him was 'ridiculous'.

Choudhury, of Spitalfields, East London, was caught on camera unfurling several large plastic poppies on the ground before burning them at the end of the two-minute silence to honour the war dead.

He was convicted of 'using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour within hearing or sight of a person likely to have been caused harassment, alarm or distress' by District Judge Howard Riddle, following a one-day trial last month.

His fellow defendant, Mohammad Haque, 30, of Bethnal Green, was found not guilty of the same public order offence.

Neither defendant appeared at the court, where Choudhury was ordered to pay the money, alongside a £15 victim surcharge. The maximum fine he could have received was £1,000.

14TH FEBRUARY 2011: Andrew Brons went to Locke Park in Barnsley on Wednesday 9th February to examine the erosion and vandalism suffered by the Locke Tower, a grade 2 listed building.

The Tower was built in the 1860s on the instructions of Phoebe Locke to commemorate the work of her deceased brother, Joseph Locke, the famous railway engineer.

It's the highest point in Barnsley and is a landmark for miles around, but sadly the Tower, which was closed in the early 1990s, has fallen into disrepair.

Locke Park has been described as the lungs of Barnsley, and the Friends of Locke Park have already made improvements to the park since its decline and it's looking better now than it has done for some time.

The Locke Park Tower has been provisionally earmarked £50,000 by Barnsley Council for restoration and the Friends of Locke Park are also applying for National Lottery funding.

Andrew went there at the invitation of Danny Cook (above) a Barnsley member. The MEP was so appalled by the graffiti, casual neglect and steady erosion, that he immediately donated £500 to the Friends of Locke Park.

Enis found out when a tweet went out from this account defending the email sackings sent to British soldiers. Enis started to receive phone calls while she was at work regarding the message.

How Ed Balls gagged the IMF on the state of the UK economy in the run-up to the financial crisis

Labour ministers put pressure on international inspectors to ‘tone down’ warnings about the precarious state of the economy before the financial crisis, according to a devastating report.

The International Monetary Fund told the last government as early as 2004 that it was borrowing and spending too much.

But the advice was rejected by Treasury officials who demanded that the global financial watchdog water down its public criticisms of tax and spending policies.

The report will make uncomfortable reading for Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls, who was a powerful figure at the Treasury at the time.

It will also be a blow to Labour leader Ed Miliband, who was an economic adviser to then Chancellor Gordon Brown in 2004 and 2005.

The Conservatives claimed it was ‘incredibly telling’ about the way the Treasury operated with Mr Balls and Mr Brown at the helm. The report from the IMF’s Independent Evaluation Office exposed a series of failures in the run-up to the crisis.

It found that information was withheld from the IMF and the public by the British authorities, IMF officials were intimidated, and regulators at home and abroad failed to spot serious risks in the banking system and the economy.

The aggressive attitude of the Treasury meant the IMF was too soft with other regulators in the City of London, according to the report.

It said ‘pressure’ was put on the Fund to ‘tone down specific recommendations’ on the deteriorating public finances.

‘These pressures reduced staff’s appetite to challenge UK authorities regarding monetary policy, financial risk, or regulatory issues,’ the report said. As a result of ‘push back’ from British authorities, the IMF was stifled by ‘groupthink’ and its conclusions ‘were something of a compromise’.

The report exposes just how badly the regulatory regime set up by Labour to monitor the financial system and the economy failed in the lead up to the crisis.

The Tories said it was further evidence that Mr Balls is a ‘deficit denier’ and cannot be trusted to look after the nation’s finances.

Conservative deputy chairman Michael Fallon, a member of the Treasury select committee, said: ‘When the IMF was concerned about Ed Balls’s policies, Ed Balls did everything in his power to silence them.

‘Instead of trying to gag the watchdog, he should have listened. He doubled the debt, and now his past is catching up with him – all he can say is that he’d do it all again.’

Mr Balls stepped down as chief economic adviser to the Treasury in July 2004 so he could stand for Parliament but returned as City Minister in May 2006.

His spokesman said: ‘Despite their attempts to rewrite history David Cameron and George Osborne supported Labour’s spending plans until the global financial crisis hit.’

A party that thinks that the anti - terrorism solution means giving more and more money to muslim communities. And will appease anything that isn't English. Their equality and diversity agenda has seen a rise in communities being segregated which fits their tick box ideology nicely.

They have carried on ridding our country of industry, think back to how much we used to have in Barnsley.

Mass immigration, in which they underhandedly helped to ethnically cleanse large cities like Birmingham and Leicester to the point where whites are now a minority, isn't that racist?. They are only in their element when they see billions spent on foreign aid and the EU while our own people suffer. Bankrupt Britain Dishes Out Half a Billion Pounds in Foreign Aid in First 5 Weeks of 2011

Bankrupt Britain has dished out just on half a billion pounds in foreign aid in the first five weeks of 2011, as British taxpayers staggered under a wave of price and tax increases, job losses and cutbacks which threaten to put millions on the dole in this country.

The staggering foreign aid spend includes projects such as the “promotion of free trade in Africa” (£78 million); help to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon (£110 million); a tripling of aid to Somalia (in excess of £126 million); a £40 million donation to the world anti-polio initiative (set to become an annual donation); £134 million in aid to Pakistan; and £55 million in aid to the Sudan.

The grand total comes to £483 million, but when administration costs and logistics are factored in, the final cost to the British taxpayer will be well in excess of half a billion pounds.

The figures and details of the spending spree are contained in a series of press releases issued by the Department for International Development, all of which were of course ignored by the controlled media.

By way of comparison, England's university budgets have been cut by £449 million, which will cause student places to be reduced by an estimated 6,000 in the next academic year.

Teaching budgets in Britain have been reduced by £215 million, while research funding has been frozen and the buildings budget has been cut by £562 million, or 25 percent.

The spending cuts, supposedly to “bring the deficit” under control are so far-reaching that even flood defence systems in Britain have been cut – ironic when it is considered that a large amount of the foreign aid paid out to Pakistan recently has gone to flood relief aid.

According to the Environment Agency, 20 percent of houses in Britain are “at risk of flooding” but more than 1,000 major flood defence projects in Britain have had their funding cut as a result of “budget cutbacks.”

From figures published by the Office National Statistics in October last year, UK public sector net debt was £952.8 billion or 64.6 percent of National Gross Domestic Product (GDP ).

The PBR (annual government borrowing) forecast for 2010/11 is for net borrowing of £149 billion, or 12.6 percent of GDP.

This means that each month, the Government is set to borrow in excess of £12 billion just to stay afloat: and of this, it seems, at least half a billion (and possibly more) is then spent on foreign aid.

British National Party activists in London and Barnsley took to the streets of London and Barnsley today as former MP Eric Illsley was jailed for theft and the date for the by-election was set for 3 March.

In London, nearly two dozen British National Party supporters braved the pouring rain to take part in a snap protest outside Southwark Crown Court where the criminal Labourite was jailed for a year, while a similar demonstration was held in Barnsley.

“Another Labour party thief has been caught red-handed with his hands in the taxpayers’ till,” party leader Nick Griffin said.

Writing in a fund-raising appeal sent out in support of the British National Party’s campaign, Mr Griffin said it was quite right that Mr Illsey should lose his seat.

‘No-go area’ sparks tears and anger at meeting about crime in Sheffield suburb

THE son of a Sheffield woman sexually assaulted by two men in a terrifying early morning attack wept at a public meeting and told police he wanted “justice” for his mum.

He spoke out at a heated meeting in Darnall, where residents questioned police officers about the way they are dealing with crime following the sex attack and a recent stabbing.

Around 80 angry and concerned residents crammed into The Pavilion in Mather Road to voice their concerns about crime in Darnall - with some branding the suburb “a no-go area”.

The meeting was organised after a 41-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted by two men who struck on land just off Greenland Road, towards Greenland Way, between 2.45am and 3.45am on Sunday January 30.

During the same week a 28-year-old man was stabbed on Staniforth Road.

Residents also claim there is prostitution, drug problems, and gangs of youths intimidating local people, forcing some to live like prisoners in their own homes because they are too afraid to walk the streets alone.

There was loud applause when a resident questioned police representatives about the lack of officers seen on the streets of Darnall since the sex attack, and clapping again when another asked why it took South Yorkshire Police three days to disclose details of the assault.

Julie Lindley, who lives in Darnall and runs a business there, said: “That should have been in the papers first thing Monday morning to make everyone aware – surely prevention is better than cure.”

Speaking afterwards she said: “Why was this violent crime not publicised by the police straight away? From a safety point of view we all have families, and if we are informed we can take precautions.”

One woman who saw a police officer guarding the taped-off crime scene said she was shocked when she asked what had happened.

“The police were standing where it happened – I asked the police officer what happened and was told, ‘I can’t tell you’. He said, ‘Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious’.

“When I found out, I was livid – I am a woman, it’s very serious. I was disgusted at that.”

The victim’s son, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had to be comforted and was led away from the meeting when he broke down in tears after speaking out about the attack, which he described as a rape.

“The woman who got raped is my mum,” he wept. “I need to get justice for her.”

David Williamson, 53, of Greenwood Drive, also voiced his concerns about crime.

He said: “I feel intimidated when I walk down Darnall on my own. People will not come forward and report things because they are intimidated and frightened – you would get your windows smashed and cars damaged.”

He was backed by people calling for more CCTV cameras to be installed to monitor behaviour on the streets.

Chief Inspector Iain Chorlton, responsible for policing east Sheffield, said further meetings would be held to discuss community concerns.

He said the delay in going public with details of the sexual assault was down to the “complexities” of investigating such crimes in the first hours and days after a report.

He said it was “a key challenge” for police to be visible on the streets - and the situation was “not going to get any better” because of funding cuts leading to job losses.

But speaking after the meeting he said he had tasked officers with increasing police patrols in the area.

Disgraced MP Eric Illsley confirmed he would resign his seat in the Commons last night, after coming under intense pressure from members of his former party.

Last month the MP for Barnsley Central was convicted of dishonestly claiming more than £14,000 in expenses. He will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court tomorrow.

The former Labour MP – who continued to sit as an independent after having the party whip withdrawn – said: ‘I would like to apologise to my constituents, family and friends, following my court appearance, for the distress and embarrassment caused by my actions that I deeply, deeply regret.

‘I have begun to wind down my parliamentary office, following which I will resign from Parliament before my next court appearance.’

The announcement came 24 hours after David Cameron and Ed Miliband called for him to resign and trigger a by-election.

Commons Leader Sir George Young was expected to ask for an emergency vote on forcing the Barnsley Central MP out of the Commons if he failed to fall on his sword.

Illsley was due to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court in London last month.

But the 55-year-old changed his pleas on three charges of false accounting relating to three years of expenses for his second home in London.

Illsley had previously denied dishonestly claiming a total of more than £25,000. But his barrister, William Coker QC, said his client admitted wrongly claiming a revised sum of about £14,500.

The claims were made for council tax, telephone usage, service charges and maintenance, and insurance and repairs at his second home in Kennington, South London, between 2005 and 2008.

In a five-minute hearing, the MP sat in the dock rubbing his face. He spoke only to confirm his pleas, saying ‘guilty’ to the three charges.

Prosecutor Peter Wright QC said the Crown accepted the revised figure for the dishonest claims.

Labour is planning to trigger a by-election in his Barnsley Central seat on March 3.

BANGLADESHI ILLEGAL RAPES SCHOOLGIRL

A sex beast who raped a schoolgirl was caught when he was spotted in the street by his victim and chased down by her father.

Mohammed Alim, 30, was cornered and arrested after police joined the pursuit. He has been jailed for seven years for a ‘cold and calculated attack’.

Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court heard how Alim stalked the girl as she walked along the street in Oldham, on September 18 last year.

Alim pulled her into an alleyway and throttled her before raping her twice. He then ran off with her handbag. But just days later, the teenager spotted Alim while driving with her father.

Her father called Alim over, pretending he was lost. Alim ran off after seeing the girl, who had tried to hide herself from view.

But the father gave chase and was joined by two nearby PCSOs who were on patrol. Alim, of no fixed address, was finally cornered when he ran into a stranger’s house. Alim, a failed asylum seeker who came to Britain from Bangladesh aged 16, pleaded guilty to rape.

Sentencing him, Judge Peter Lakin said: "You subjected a young girl to every woman’s worst nightmare. During the attack she feared she would die and says she feels lucky to be alive." Alim was sentenced to seven years and four months in custody. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register and banned from working with children for life.

Speaking outside court, a member of the girl’s family said: "This sentence is not long enough for what he has done – it is horrendous what she has been through."

The lecturer finally cornered the pair back at the house and called police. But a week later they said there was “nothing we can do”.

They said the girl was above the age of consent and it would be her word against the gang members.

The dad, who praised former Home Secretary Jack Straw, 64, for revealing the menace of Asian(muslim) sex gangs, said: “Mr Straw was right when he said they saw white girls as easy meat. They tried to eat my girl. There were 10 bite marks on her body.

“If the Government does not wish to see this situation become any worse we need to fix it now or the people will.”

Poorly-trained foreign nurses will be allowed to work in Britain after completing only two days of role playing and multiple choice tests.

The short course replaces the rigorous assessments and exams currently undertaken by those failing to meet NHS standards.

To work on wards, nurses are likely to need to show only their skills on dummies, with no requirement to speak good English.

The shake-up is being imposed by the European Union, which says tests on foreign workers go against its freedom of movement laws.

Senior health officials fear the multiple choice assessments, which will begin in April, will be unrealistic and too easy.

Under the existing rules, any EU nurse whose training is deemed substandard must go on an intensive adaptation programme lasting up to six months before they can work in UK hospitals. The courses, which can cost up to £1,500, are run by universities and consist of theory tests, written coursework and practical exams in wards or nursing homes.

Although not directly assessed on their English, candidates would struggle to pass without good language skills.

The regime is so strict that only a quarter of the 8,000 EU nurses who apply to work in the UK every year see the process through.

Most are put off by the cost and difficulty of making the grade.

Those not up to scratch largely come from states relatively new to the EU such as Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia and Latvia.

GROWING REVOLT OVER £350M SALE OF OUR FORESTS

THE battle to halt the Government’s £350million forests sell-off snowballed yesterday as the number of protesters signing petitions topped 500,000.

And hopes grew that the plans could be axed or watered down when Environment Secretary Caroline Spelman said that a consultation is genuinely open and “not a done deal”.

About 10,000 signatures a day are being added to two petitions by the people power campaign 38 Degrees and the Woodland Trust to protect the Forestry Commission’s 625,000 acres of woodlands in England.

The surge of public opinion triggered fears the sell-off could become David Cameron’s poll tax.

And it revived memories of the anti-road pricing petition under Labour which was signed by 1.3 million and helped force ministers to scrap the policy.

“This seems to have struck a nerve, people want to save the forests for future generations,” said 38 Degrees spokesman Johnny Chatterton.

By last night the group’s online petition had attracted 461,000 signatures.

But Mr Chatterton said this was only part of a broader campaign.

“In the past 10 days more than 90,000 people have written to their MPs through our website and we have raised £60,000 for campaign advertisements,” he said.

The Woodland Trust petition so far has won 100,000 supporters. A trust spokesman said: “It is one of most successful petitions ever.” HERE

I'm not usually in the habit of reading such vile literature, but because we have a criminal MP, who has yet to resign, a by-election will soon be called in Barnsley Central, so any leaflet I receive will be read with interest.

Now, I normally just concentrate on getting British National Party leaflets out and generally helping out when and where I can, ignoring the dirty politics side of things which are put into place to attack the British National Party. But this leaflet really is scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to putting lies out against the British National Party.

The most disturbing part of this leaflet is David Grant's comment, "The Moorland Plastics Factory is really important not just to the blind and disabled who work here, but for the whole of Barnsley. This way we supply top quality products, pay taxes, develop skills and gain qualifications."

"It is disgusting that the BNP threaten such an important project with their views. I wasn't even aware about their views on the blind and disabled, and I think more people need to know."

Funny how he never mentions what these views are supposed to be, but knows this deplorable tactic will work on some voters.

The British National Party would NEVER threaten an important project like this. And for Hope not Hate to use disabled people to gain votes for the Labour Party is without doubt downright despicable. Only organisations like this use lies and hatred.

TOP Eurocrat Cathy Ashton faced outrage last night after the EU failed to condemn attacks on Christians in the Islamic world.

Diplomats accused the baroness, who is EU foreign affairs supremo and the world’s most highly-paid female politician, of seeking to appease Muslims by wiping out any reference to the Christian faith in statements.

One Christian pressure group even urged the Labour peer to resign over the shambles.

The row erupted yesterday when a meeting of EU foreign ministers, chaired by Baroness Ashton, broke up in acrimony after failing to agree a statement about religious persecution in Egypt and Iraq.

Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini savaged Lady Ashton over the debacle, saying: “This position is an excess of secularism, which is damaging the credibility of Europe.

“The final text didn’t include any mention of Christians, as if we were talking of something else, so I asked for the text to be withdrawn.” Mr Frattini had demanded a response from the EU after a New Year suicide bombing at a Coptic church in Egypt in which 23 people died.

That bombing followed attacks on Christians in Baghdad, which led the Vatican to warn of growing persecution that could trigger a Christian exodus from the Middle East.

One diplomat said: “Those who thought the creation of a high representative would lead to a more unified and coherent EU foreign policy have been very disappointed with Ashton.

“She cannot even finesse a statement from Christian Europe condemning attacks on Christians.”

AN influx of foreign doctors means just one in three is now classed as white British, astonishing new figures revealed yesterday.

Experts last night said they feared the tide of foreign-trained medics could put patients’ lives at risk because some may have poor English language skills.

The warning comes after a survey by the General Medical Council found only 37 per cent of the 240,000-strong medical register declared themselves as white British.

Separate figures revealed that more than 88,000 of that number were trained abroad.

The NHS now has doctors trained in 147 countries including Mongolia, Papua New Guinea and even Haiti, the poorest nation in the western world. More than 25,000 come from India.

Last year, Nigerian-born German doctor Daniel Ubani was banned from working in the UK after killing 70-year-old David Gray by giving him 10 times the maximum dose of a painkiller.

Ubani, who was on his first shift as an out-of-hours locum GP, later admitted his “fatal mistake” happened partly because he was unfamiliar with the drugs he was using.

He was allowed to work in Britain without checks because European laws forbid employers in the UK testing the skills of doctors qualified within the EU.

There are currently 22,000 foreign-born medics in the UK trained in EU member states.

In 2009, 51 doctors who qualified abroad were struck off. Twelve were from within Europe and 39 came from other countries. In the same year, six EU qualified doctors were suspended along with 39 from other countries.

Muslim imam, given award by Princess Anne, facing jail for raping boy, 12, at mosque

A Muslim cleric, once decorated by Buckingham Palace, is facing jail after being convicted of 'preying on' and 'abusing' two boys at his mosque.

Mohammed Hanif Khan, 42, one of Britain's most influential imams, became the first ever full-time Islamic minister in the history of the British prison service in 2001.

Highly respected, in 2004 he visited the Palace to receive a Butlers' Trust Award from Princess Anne for his work in diversity. Under his grand title of Sheik Mohammed Hanif Haqqani Kareemi he led prayers and gave Islamic education to boys.

But a two-week long trial at Nottingham Crown Court heard Hanif Khan used his position of power at the mosque in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, to terrify, intimidate and abuse the two young boys in 2009 - then aged 12 and 15.

After three days of deliberation a jury found him guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual activity with a child. He was remanded in custody for sentencing at a later date.

During the trial - which has prompted high emotion in the local community - prosecutor Tariq Shakor Khan explained how both boys kept their abuse secret from one another, each believing they were the Imam's only victims.

Mr Khan said the youngest boy was raped outside the mosque by some bins after being asked to take the rubbish out.

The boy told officers that at first the imam was stern like a schoolteacher, but gradually he began talking to him 'nicely'.

But play fights soon turned sexual and Hanif Khan allegedly raped the boy repeatedly over a two-month period in one of the mosque's room.

He said the sex attacks happened after formal prayers with others from the congregation when Hanif Khan would ask the boy to go into the private committee room and lay out his prayer mat.

After the last attack in October 2009 the youngest boy claimed Hanif Khan told him he was going to take him somewhere else and 'do it to him specially'. The following day he told a friend and was advised to inform his parents.

A SOUTH Yorkshire Muslim peer has sparked controversy with suggestions the problem of grooming of young girls by Asian men is fuelled by unhappy arranged marriages.

Lord Ahmed of Rotherham has blamed arranged marriages to cousins for prompting some men of Pakistani descent to target vulnerable young girls to gratify their sexual needs.

He spoke after high-profile cases including a gang of five men from Rotherham who were jailed for a total of 32-and-a-half years for grooming and sexually exploiting vulnerable girls as young as 13.

Lord Ahmed said some Pakistani men were forced into marriages and were not happy – married to girls from overseas with whom they do not have anything in common, and they have children and a family.

“But they are looking for fun in their sexual activities and seek out vulnerable girls,” he added. “I get a lot of criticism from Asian people who ask, ‘How can you say this about Asian men?’ But they must wake up and realise there is a problem.”

He added: “While I respect individual choice, I think the community needs to look at marriages in the UK rather than cousin marriages or economic marriages from abroad.”

Lord Ahmed’s comments come after former Home Secretary Jack Straw sparked a fierce row by claiming some young men of Asian origin regarded young white girls as “easy meat” for sexual exploitation.

Razwan Razaq, aged 30, of Oxford Street, Clifton, Rotherham, his brother Umar Razaq, 24, also of Oxford Street, their cousin Mohammed Ramzan, 21, of Broom Grove, Broom, along with friends Adil Hussain, 20, of Nelson Street, Clifton, and Mohsin Khan, 21, of Haworth Crescent, Moorgate, were jailed after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two girls aged 13 and 16.

Sheffield Crown Court heard they cruised the streets of Rotherham looking for young girls to have sex with. They assaulted the girls in cars, alleyways and car parks around Rotherham, and at the victims’ homes.

The five men have also been issued with Sexual Offences Prevention Orders banning them from ever being alone with children again - to ensure they are not in a position to abuse young girls in the future. Anti-paedophile police unit the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre has commissioned an assessment into “on street” grooming leading to abuse and exploitation.

After hearing that more than a third of those claiming job seekers' allowance in Barnsley are between 18 and 24, the GMB trade union says that this is a worrying statistic.

Barnsley has the most jobless 18-24 year olds in the region.
Of the 6,521 claimants, 34.9% are in the age group.

What the above means, which I have just read in the Barnsley Chronicle, is that 34.9% of 6,521 is approximately 2,276 18-24 year olds are not in work.

That's 2,276 young people who are claiming job seekers' allowance in Barnsley.

The proof at the top shows the numbers of migrant workers which have been employed in Barnsley.

Cllr Linda Burgess says that we need to encourage young people to look beyond Barnsley, towards other opportunities. Why is that Linda? Are you actually admitting to demoralising the young and leaving them to rot while actively encouraging anyone who isn't British to come and live in Barnsley.

The British National Party is committed to British Jobs for British Workers, let's employ our own young people in our own town.

Eric Illsley stood in last year's General Election even though he was under investigation for his abuse of Parliamentary expenses and in full knowledge that he was guilty of pocketing thousands of pounds of taxpayers money. He denied the accusations.

Today, Eric Illsley went to court and changed his plea to admit defrauding the taxpayer of £14,500.

The claims were made for council tax, telephone usage, service charges and maintenance, and insurance and repairs at his second home in Kennington, South London, between 2005 and 2008.

In Europe, authorities said they were pursuing threats against Coptic churches there, after militants said they would attack the Egyptian Christian denomination both in Egypt and among its diaspora communities. A suspected suicide bomber killed 21 people and wounded 97 others outside a Coptic church in the Nile delta city of Alexandria during a New Year's midnight service.

The authorities have been holding seven people for questioning. The bombing has prompted hundreds of Christians in Muslim-majority Egypt to protest in Alexandria and Cairo against what they say is the failure of the authorities to protect them. Egyptian officials have said there were indications "foreign elements" were behind the blast and said the attack seemed to have been the work of a suicide bomber. "The security forces have confirmed that finger of suspicion indicates that the culprit was a suicide bomber linked to al Qaeda," a security source, who asked not to be identified, said. Another source said police had stepped up security at Egypt's ports and airports to prevent anyone who might have been involved from fleeing as the investigation continues. "Security is preparing a list of those who have arrived in Egypt recently from countries where al Qaeda is known to recruit operatives," the second security source said. Threats Copts, the native Christians of Egypt, are the biggest Christian community in the Middle East and also have diaspora communities in the United States and Europe.

"I can confirm that on New Year's Eve the interior ministry contacted the bishop of the Coptic Christians in Germany, Anba Damian, to tell him about this risk," German Interior Ministry spokesman Stephan Paris told reporters. A French court said it had opened an investigation after a priest in the greater Paris region complained of online threats against Coptic Christians. French Police will seek to determine whether the threats, posted on social networking websites, amounted to a conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism, the court said.

Make sure it has the yellow plates attached to the vehicle at the back, the front and there should be an internal plate. The back plate has a unique number printed on it which applies to that vehicle.
You can also ask to see the driver's photo ID badge.

If you don't pre-book a private hire car and want to flag down a Hackney car the same rules apply with identification on the doors, plates and driver's badge. Once in the cab try and text someone the plate number or the driver's badge ID number.

Having witnessed Gibson's presence with students opposing the BNP in Barnsley, it made me wonder what kind of man influences students with his own brand of politics.

Thanks to a letter printed in the Barnsley Chronicle, which reads:

As a former student of Barnsley College, I, like most, am worried about government cuts and in particular tuition fees.

I love the idea that new modernised schools are being built around Barnsley for our children's
education and for a comfortable learning environment. Not like when I was at school in cold porta cabins or with my coat on because the boiler was broken.

On the front page of the Chronicle last week I loved the thought some students had been to London for a peaceful protest.

Then I read the article and looked at the people involved. I was then appalled that the students had been on the front line of violence, led by a senior college lecturer.

As stated, as a former Barnsley College student I'm well aware of Dave Gibson's politics, as are most of Barnsley's shoppers who in recent times have witnessed him with students getting into heated discussions with a certain right wing group.

I'm all for freedom of speech from all sides of the political spectrum but I doubt if Dave Gibson is, as he is bringing his own view of politics into the classroom onto impressionable young students. This is totally wrong.

Politics should be left out of the classroom to let students decide for themselves what view they have when they are old enough to vote.

The protests last week were a breath of fresh air and we celebrate them.

We think Sally Hunt, the general secretary of the lecturers’ UCU union, is wrong to condemn the Millbank protest. She blamed it on a “mindless and totally unrepresentative minority”.

That’s wrong. Thousands protested at Millbank. Far from being mindless, they were clear about who their enemy is and determined to show that they would resist.

We think education is a right for everyone, not a privilege for the rich. We need more militant action against the Tories.

RAF MAN TURNED AWAY BY ASIAN CABBIE IN SHEFFIELD

AN inquiry is underway after an RAF serviceman was refused a cab by an Asian taxi driver in Sheffield who objected to his uniform. The 24-year-old serviceman who had been at a family wedding ceremony in his RAF "blues" was turned away from the black cab by the driver who apparently became aggressive.

Sheffield City Council, the RAF and the local taxi association are now investigating amid calls for the driver to be sacked.

Vince McDonagh of the local joint ex-servicemen's association said: "Everybody is astounded that a British taxi can turn away someone in uniform at this time of year.

"Taxis should be bound by the rules of the licensing authority and I think they should locate this driver and take his badge away.

"It makes you angry and disgusted. They are fighting for their country and it is a kick in the teeth for them."

The incident happened last Saturday after Kevin Burke's daughter got married at Sheffield Register Office.

Mr Burke, 46, a part-time lecturer from Sheffield, did not want to reveal his son's name who is from the city but is based in Scotland, for security reasons.

But he said he wants the authorities to take action.

He said: "My wife and my son went to get a taxi near the town hall after the ceremony to go on to the reception.

"When the cab pulled up they were about to get in when the driver said he wasn't letting my son in because he was in uniform.

"My wife asked him for a reason and the driver became quite aggressive in turning them down. He made it quite clear it was because my son was in the forces.

"Being a professional my son just turned his back and walked away and they hailed a private taxi to get to the reception.

"It is totally disgusting. The driver did not give an opinion but made it apparent he did not like servicemen.

"If you are providing a public service you should not refuse people like my son. He is fighting for his country after all."

Even the local taxi drivers are incensed at what happened.

A spokesman for the local black cab drivers said: "It is not needed. These servicemen and women protect our way of life. They put their lives at risk for this nation. To be treated like that is unbelievable."

Sheffield City Council said: "On the face of it is disappointing and disheartening."

Yobs in West Yorkshire burned Bibles and slashed hymnbooks in an attack against a Methodist church in a village near Bradford.

The distressing attack on Birkenshaw Methodist Church was discovered earlier this week when an art group went to the church to hold their meeting.

Upon arriving they found that a large crucifix had been ripped from an interior wall, the chairs had been slashed, and wires leading to the church’s speakers and piano keyboard had been cut.

Upset

Revd Graham Edwards, the church’s minister, said: “Everyone is very upset and it is very sad to go to the effort of refurbishing the whole place to find somebody will break in and, for what seems like no reason at all, will destroy and ruin things.

“What is upsetting people is the pointlessness of it all.”

He added: “You always wonder what things are about I suppose but I don’t think we are too concerned by that. It upsets you but we are not going to dwell on these things.”

Attack

The church, which has 61 members, was refurbished just two years ago and Revd Edwards estimates that the attack could cost around £2,000.

The police are continuing to make inquiries into the incident, but a police spokesman has confirmed that nothing was stolen during the break-in.

The incident occurred between the end of the church’s Sunday evening service and the Monday afternoon when the art group arrived at the church.

Gutted

In March a 19th century Cambridgeshire church was gutted by a massive fire, reportedly started when yobs set Bibles and prayer books alight.

The horrific fire in Westry, near March, left the village church in tatters with only the external brickwork remaining.

Church caretaker John Arnold, 74, arrived at the church to see a cross and a Bible engulfed in flames.

Burning

He said: “When I opened the door I first thought it was dust coming in the windows and then I realised it was smoke.

“I had thought it was strange because the door was unlocked.

“The smoke was really thick and I could see the Bible was burning and the wooden cross that we had made.”

Church rector, the Revd Anthony Chandler, described the scene as “heartbreaking”.

Bierley family’s anger as marine who lost part of his brain in Taliban shooting offered £1,500 payout and told: It’s just a flesh wound.

The family of a Bradford commando offered a £1,500 insurance payout after he was shot through the head by the Taliban have branded the decision “disgraceful”.

Royal Marine Liam Brentley had to have part of his skull, brain and jaw removed and has been left with deafness and memory loss after he was shot while on patrol in Afghanistan.

Now his dad Gary, 50, has hit out at the father-of-two’s insurer for offering the “disgusting” payment for his injuries which the company has described as a “flesh wound”.

Mr Brentley, of Parkmere Close, Bierly, said: “It is a disgrace. He is so upset and his wife, Samantha, is distraught.

“We received a letter offering him £1,500 for what they call a ‘flesh wound’. We are absolutely disgusted with it.”

Mr Brentley and his wife Yvonne were outraged after receiving the letter from insurance company Chartis.

Their son, a former rugby league professional, is having treatment for his injuries at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley court, Surrey.

Mr Brentley said: “We were hoping to get him a good payment so that he could crack on with his rehabilitation but this has just hit him for six.”

Marine Brentley amazingly survived after being shot through the head while on patrol in Afghanistan’s dangerous Helmand province, the Telegraph & Argus exclusively revealed in July. The former Bradford Dudly Hill rugby league player was initially treated in Afghanistan but his injuries were so severe he was flown back to Britain to undergo a life-saving brain operation.

His wife, Samantha, gave birth to their second child, Isabella, at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Selly Oak, Birmingham, where her husband was recovering from the surgery.

Samantha said: “It’s upset me and Liam. They are saying it’s a flesh wound which it’s not. He has been shot in the brain. He has had brain tissue removed and part of his skull removed. He is totally deaf on his left side with permanent memory loss.

“Liam’s not going to be able to work because he’s got short-term memory loss. He’s going to be disabled for the rest of his life. He has two children and two step-children.”

A spokesman for insurance firm Chartis said £1,500 was an initial offer from the company and apologised if the cover-all term “flesh wound” – which it used for bullet wounds – had caused offence to the family.

Marine Brentley, 25, may be entitled to payments in the future following the advice of medical professionals looking after him. But his dad said: “He has a wife and two children and doesn’t know whether he will have a job. They need it now.”

The Chartis spokesman said: “If there has been a failure in communication with the family, then we apologise.

“This is a complex situation where payments are made within the terms and conditions of the contract and some have already been paid. Whether or not more payments are due is dependent on the long-term outcome of the injury. We are dependent on medical professionals treating an individual to provide that information.”

TAXPAYERS have been left to foot a £180,000 bill for a teacher who was off sick on full pay for six years.

Anna Yerrakalva, 57, claimed she was injured when a colleague fell on top of her during an epileptic fit.

She said she was pinned down for 15 minutes and suffered damage to her neck and spine. But after an investigation the school said her injuries could not have been caused in the way she described.

Education chiefs in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, continued paying her salary until she was sacked for gross misconduct in January this year for making false claims.

On top of the huge wage bill, Barnsley council faces legal costs of £100,000 fighting her employment tribunal claim for victimisation and unfair dismissal.

A hearing in Sheffield yesterday heard how Mrs Yerrakalva went sick from her post at Dearne Carrfield primary school in Bolton-on-Dearne, South Yorkshire, after the alleged incident in November 2003. She returned briefly, but was struck by a bus in June 2004, and has never worked since.

Headteacher Stephen Poxton told the tribunal that the accident allegedly happened as she knelt down to set up a display.

A teaching assistant did have a fit, but an investigation concluded Mrs Yerrakalva had lied and “her injuries were not sustained in the way she described”.

Mrs Yerrakalva later filled in Department of Work and Pensions forms claiming disability living allowance and industrial injury benefit in 2006 and 2007.

She said she needed help eating, dressing and going to the toilet, and suffered learning problems and panic attacks. Yet in August 2006 she told her employers she was fit to return to work.

Mr Poxton said that Mrs Yerrakalva was sacked after lying about her health. “Her claims caused a considerable amount of aggravation for the school and an irreparable breakdown of confidence.”

Mrs Yerrakalva refused access to her medical records and had made “vague and unsubstantiated” complaints against others.

Mrs Yerrakalva disputes much of the council’s case and will give her evidence when the hearing resumes next year.

Barnsley BNP experienced an encouraging increase in support at last night's meeting.

Barnsley branch organiser, Ian Sutton opened the meeting with shocking news that Barnsley's birth rate from non-British mothers had risen to a disturbing 194% and said that Barnsley will not be immune from the kind of ghettos we see in major towns and cities up and down the country.

First speaker of the evening was Chris Beverley, BNP Regional Organiser.

Chris gave an in depth speech about the hard work he puts into helping Andrew Brons MEP and congratulated Barnsley BNP activists for their commitment to the party which has gained a significant increase in votes over the past few years.

Chris has recently been working on the Andrew Brons Annual Report news letter which gives a good description of the work carried out by Andrew over the past twelve months.
Hundreds of thousands of these news letters will be leafleted across the Yorkshire and Humber region by dedicated BNP activists.

Chris reminded the audience that Labour have created the mess we are in today, but with Cameron's coalition cuts, Labour will try and capitalise on it at the next election - don't be fooled.

INVESTIGATION Former lawyer Liaqat Malik is chief executive of the college

A college has had its Home Office licence suspended as part of an immigration investigation.

Border agency staff are reviewing the Manchester College of Higher Education and Media Technology following complaints it had broken immigration rules.

The Cheetham Hill college has been temporarily removed from the government list of organisations allowed to sponsor overseas students.

Overseas students are only allowed to study in institutions on the approved list and colleges must notify the authorities if students miss ten or more classes.

The college’s chief executive is disgraced former lawyer Liaqat Malik. He was struck off after an M.E.N investigation revealed he had a criminal record for dishonesty and had previously been banned from practising as a solicitor.

The college charges up to £6,500 a year for courses include accountancy, business, and law. It shares its premises with cable station DM Digital TV, also owned by Mr Malik. The station was fined £17,500 by watchdogs earlier this year for a ‘misleading’ advert in which a spiritual healer promised to find love for viewers.

A UK Border Agency spokeswoman said: "We regularly check and monitor all sponsors in order to ensure they are meeting their obligations as a sponsor of migrants. As a result of our investigations, suspension action has been taken against over 200 sponsors.

"Where there is a breach of immigration control or the sponsor is unable to meet their duties, we will take action against them."

The college did not return calls from the M.E.N.

A MUSLIM cleric sparked outrage yesterday – saying there is no such thing as rape within marriage.

Sheikh Maulana Abu Sayeed, who runs the largest network of sharia courts in Britain, claimed husbands who rape their wives should not be prosecuted because “sex is part of marriage”.

When asked if he believed non-consensual marital sex could be rape he said defiantly: “No.

“Clearly there cannot be any rape within the marriage. Maybe aggression, maybe indecent activity.”

He said the “aggression” of reporting the man to police was greater than the “minor aggression” of forcing a woman to have sexual intercourse against her will.

He claimed many married women who alleged rape were lying.

“In most of the cases, they have been advised by solicitors that one of the four reasons for which a wife can get a divorce is rape.

“Why it is happening in this society is because they have got this idea of so-called equality, equal rights.”

Sheikh Sayeed said the concept of rape within marriage was “not Islamic”.

He said: “It is not an assault, it is not some kind of jumping on somebody’s individual right.

“When they got married, the understanding was that sexual intercourse was part of the marriage, so there cannot be anything against sex in marriage.

“Of course, if it happened without her desire, that is no good, that is not desirable.”

He said husbands can be dealt with under sharia law, but there is no need for the police to be called in.

Asked how husbands accused of rape should be dealt with, he said: “He may be disciplined, and he may be made to ask forgiveness. That should be enough.”

As campaigners, police and women’s groups reacted angrily to his remarks yesterday Sheikh Sayeed stood by his claims adding: “In Islamic sharia, rape is adultery by force.

“So long as the woman is his wife, it cannot be termed as rape. It is reprehensible, but we do not call it rape.”

Sheikh Sayeed moved here from Bangladesh in 1977.

He is now president of the Islamic Sharia Council which operates 16 courts in Britain, including in Birmingham, Bradford and London.

Dave Whatton, Chief Constable of Cheshire and spokesman on rape for the Association of Chief Police Officers, said the sheikh’s opinion “fundamentally undermines everything we are trying to do”.

He said: “We know that the majority of rapes do not take place through strangers attacking women late at night but between acquaintances and within marriages and partnerships.

“Sharia law should not replace the laws of the UK.”

Muslim tribunals exploit a legal loophole which allows sharia courts to be classified as arbitration courts, with their rulings binding in law.

Douglas Murray of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said: “Under sharia women are second-class citizens at best; chattel at worst. Sharia courts are incompatible with British democracy. There’s no such thing as moderate sharia. It’s a backward, bigoted, discriminatory body.”

1,200 JOBS TO GO IN BARNSLEY COUNCIL CUTBACKS

TOWN Hall bosses painted a bleak future for Barnsley as they announced at least 1,200 council jobs will have to be axed over four years. Council leader Steve Houghton said the impact of the Government's budget squeeze would be felt in every part of Barnsley society, laying the blame squarely at the door of the coalition's decision to cut the national deficit in five years.

He said Barnsley Council would cut £40 million from its budget by 2015 - made up of £16m next year and £8m for the next three years.

But he estimated that would result in £100m being lost from the Barnsley economy, as the surge in unemployment and reduced public spending hits the private sector.

Around 1,500 staff have been sent consultation letters about the forthcoming redundancies.

Of those, 335 will be axed by April, with hundreds more to lose their jobs each year until 2015.

The announced redundancies come on top of 181 workers who have already been axed, 112 of whom are home carers.

Coun Houghton said he felt for the 1,500 who have received letters.

He said: "They will each be sitting on these letters thinking, 'Is that me?' They will be thinking that until January when we make the final decisions.

"Unfortunately this is only the beginning. The current forecasts are we are going to have to do this again and again and again.

"These are real numbers, not something we have just picked out of the air.

"These are without question the biggest cuts in Barnsley Council's history. The is the same for all councils up and down the country."

He said the council would get the true picture of the size of the challenge only when the Government releases new information about their budgets in November or December.

He insisted trade union representatives would be fully consulted, with "all options on the table" to mitigate the number of losses, including pay cuts.

Council chief executive Phil Coppard, who has worked at the Town Hall since the 1980s, said all "discretionary spending" has been scrapped from the budget, and the council will have trouble meeting even its basic statutory responsibilities.

He added: "I don't think it has ever been as bad as this, even in the really, really bad times."

His team has met up with businesses in the town to see if any can recruit some of the laid-off council workers - an initiative he said has been met "with enthusiasm".

But Coun Houghton added: "We want as many council staff as possible to get new jobs.

"But the downside is there are 26,000 people already on working age benefit. They will now go to the back of the queue.

"This is the direct result of trying to get rid of the deficit in five years. In my view it is an ideological drive to create a smaller state."

Rotherham Labour MP Suspended After Complaint From The BNP

ROTHERHAM MP Denis MacShane has been referred to the Metropolitan Police and suspended from the Parliamentary Labour Party following a complaint about allowances.

An inquiry by Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards John Lyon has been suspended "until the question of possible criminal proceedings has been resolved".

The Commons Committee on Standards and Privileges, which oversees Mr Lyon's work, said it agreed Mr MacShane's "conduct" should be reported to the Met.

It is understood the complaint was submitted in June last year by the British National Party in connection with allowances, and Mr MacShane's work in Europe on politics and anti-semitism.

Mr MacShane said he would "co-operate fully".

"While I obviously regret this development I will of course co-operate fully with the police as I have with the Commissioner," he said. " I will make no further comment."

A short report published by the Committee said: "The Committee agreed the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards should report to the Metropolitan Police Service the conduct of the Rt Hon Member for Rotherham, Denis MacShane. In accordance with procedures agreed between the Committee on Standards and Privileges, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, and the Metropolitan Police, the Commissioner's inquiry into a complaint against Mr MacShane will be suspended until the question of possible criminal proceedings has been resolved."

Scotland Yard confirmed it is considering the complaint along with "a small number" of other outstanding expenses-related allegations.

The Labour Party said it had withdrawn the whip from the MP while the police investigate the allegations.

A spokeswoman said: "Following a referral by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to the Met Police Service, the Labour Party has today suspended Denis MacShane from the Parliamentary Labour Party and the whip pending the outcome of any investigation."

DOCTOR JAILED OVER FALSIFIED MEDICAL RECORDS

A doctor who falsified medical records in a bid to prevent a patient suing him has been jailed. Puthyadthu Kartha Venugopal, 61, was jailed for eight months by a judge who described his actions as "dreadful and shameful".

As part of his mitigation, Venugopal's lawyer handed the court a letter from his then MP Ed Balls.

Leeds Crown Court heard Venugopal, a GP at Newland Surgery, in Normanton, near Wakefield, had made up false paperwork to protect himself from a civil claim made by one of his patients.

He failed to visit Janet Moore after she had been discharged from Pinderfields Hospital after an intestine operation in December 2001.

As a result of the missed visit, Mrs Moore developed an abscess which led to her developing a significant disability. Mrs Moore took civil
action against West Yorkshire Primary Care Trust and the doctor.

Jonathan Sharp, prosecuting, said Venugopal, "no doubt to his horror", checked his professional indemnity insurance to find he was not covered for the claim. He said Venugopal "put his head in the sand" before trying to create a paper trail to show he had made visits to Mrs Moore.

£10,000 fine for meat firm: Sheep left with no water for days

A HALAL meat producing company have been fined almost £10,000 after hundreds of sheep were left without drinking water or room to move.

Premier Halal Meats Ltd of Brookwoods Industrial Estate in Holywell Green, was fined £9,401 after pleading guilty to three counts of failing to look after their animals.

Calderdale Magistrates heard how 864 sheep in the slaughterhouse were left for days
without drinking water, enough space to lie down, stand up and turn around and were caused unnecessary pain and suffering.

Mr Howard Shaw, prosecuting for DEFRA, said that sheep were standing on top of each other and that drinking water troughs had been turned off.
The sheep had been forced into the pen by a delivery driver and the abattoir supervisor after a mix up regarding what time sheep would be delivered.
In total 11 sheep died during the incident which took place at the end of February of last year, many through asphyxiation and being trampled.

A senior meat hygienist said that "he had never seen anything as bad as this" when he visited the slaughterhouse, Mr Shaw told the court.
Debbie Wilson, who attended court as a representative of Halal Meats, said that the company had made significant changes to the way they operated following the incident.
"There is no excuse and we have to take responsibility," said Mrs Wilson.
The case against the slaughterhouse supervisor Mohammed Hussain, who failed to attend court, was re-listed to be heard on 27 October.

Premier Halal Meats are a relatively new company, having started trading in June 2009. In October 2009 they were sent a letter by DEFRA advising them about the number of sheep kept in pens after concerns were raised.

Muslim Paedophiles Groom 13 Year Old In Rotherham

A TEENAGE girl who claims she was sexually assaulted by six South Yorkshire men "didn't think there was anything wrong" with having a 21-year-old boyfriend, a court heard.

The schoolgirl, aged 13 at the time, said she would meet brothers Umar Razaq, 24, and Razwan Razaq, 30, in Rotherham town centre in an alleyway or in a supermarket car park, having sex with Razwan in his car.

The brothers are also accused of introducing the girl, now 15, to cousin Mohammed Zafran Ramzan, 21, whom she met several times for sex in Clifton Park.

Timothy Savage, defending, said the girl told police she went out with Umar for three months, splitting up in May 2008.

"Most of the time I used to see him after school," she said.

"Then we fell out. I said to him: 'You're 21 and you want to go out with a 13-year-old. That doesn't happen'."

Mr Savage told Sheffield Crown Court the pair later got back together and she "checked out" Umar's age on Facebook hours after meeting him.

"His date of birth said he was 21," he said. "You didn't think there was anything wrong with going out with a 21-year-old man?"

"I was only a little girl," the girl told jurors, adding she "didn't look that old" when wearing ordinary clothes and make-up.

But Mr Savage said: "When you were 13, wearing your ordinary clothes and perhaps a bit of make-up, you looked far older than you were. You didn't care how old any of these men were."

The girl said one of her 12-year-old friends also went out with Razwan, telling him she was 17.

The alleged victim denied lying about her own age, saying: "I never said I was 16 to anybody."

Eight defendants are on trial accused of assaulting three 13-year-old girls and one aged 16 in Rotherham in 2008.

Umar Razaq, of Oxford Street, Clifton, Rotherham, is charged with rape and engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old, and Razwan Razaq, of the same address, is charged with having sex with a 13-year-old.

Mohammed Zafran Ramzan, of Broom Grove, Broom, is charged with having sex with a 13-year-old, raping a girl aged 16 and raping a girl aged 13.

Mohsin Khan, 21, of Haworth Crescent, Moorgate, Rotherham, is charged with sexual activity with a 13-year-old, while Khan and his friend Shazad Akbar, 23, of Shirecliffe Lane, Shirecliffe, are jointly charged with raping a 16-year-old.

Adil Hussain, 20, of Nelson Street, Rotherham, and Shalzaad Hussain, 22, of Clough Road, Masbrough, are charged with sexual activity with a 13-year-old.

Saeed Hussain, 29, of Hatherley Road, Eastwood, is charged with causing or inciting a girl aged 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The trial continues.

Below is the reply letter to Lucy which was sent to the Barnsley Chronicle. Unsurprisingly to Barnsley BNP the letter never made it to the letters page.

Dear Sir,

We must apologise to Lucy McGowan if we appeared rude and didn’t give full consideration to her views on the European Union, but at the time she approached our stall we were just in the process of finishing for the day and packing up our gear, so we were rather busy and preoccupied. We are normally courteous and respectful to anyone who approaches the BNP stall for a proper discussion on the serious problems facing this country, and we have had many interesting and informative conversations with members of the public.

In Lucy’s case she put forward the argument that the European Union was of great benefit to this country because it abolished trade tarrifs between the member states, so we simply asked her if there were trade tarrifs now existing between ourselves and the USA and which goods these tarifs affected. We were asking this question as Lucy had already stated that she was something of an authority on these matters, however she didn’t give us an answer to this question, but instead accused us of all being the same and not being interested in the truth, etc. We left the matter at that, but we certainly dispute her claim that we shouted at her.

In the last paragraph of her letter Lucy says that we should not be allowed to impose our views upon Barnsley people. The political system we have in this country ensures that no party can impose their political views on anyone, but can only use logic and reason to try to persuade them that their views are correct. In the privacy of the ballot box the voter can put their cross against any candidate they wish.

Shoppers were delighted to see the hardworking BNP MEP, Andrew brons helping out at the stall, selling the Voice of Freedom and gaining support from passers-by who stopped to sign the BNP petition to end the futile war in Afghanistan and bring our troops home.

Relief was felt by many locals who could express their concerns freely about how they felt about what is happening in Britain today, the war in Afghanistan and Britain's involvement within European Union to an elected politician who actually listened to what they had to say and fully supported their concerns. People left the stall confident in the knowledge that elected members of the British National Party will never turn their back on Britain and it's people.

£2m PAID TO TRADE UNIONS IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE

MORE than £2.3 million is being spent each year by public bodies in South Yorkshire paying wages of staff while they work on union duties, new figures claim.

Statistics released by campaign group the Taxpayers' Alliance show a wide variation in the amount of full and part-time union officials being paid by the taxpayer at councils, hospital trusts and other organisations.

Barnsley has by far the most public-funded trade union posts, with 38 full-time union posts at the council in 2009-10, who received wages of £1,029,180.

By contrast, Sheffield Council - the biggest authority in the county - had 12 posts, costing £325,004 in wages.

Doncaster Council had six staff, paid £162,503, while Rotherham had five officials on union duties who received salaries totalling £136,419.

Matthew Sinclair, Director of the TaxPayers' Alliance, questioned why full-time trade union officials should be receiving public money - when most take a political stance and are typically affiliated to the Labour Party.

He said: "Trade unions are lining up to fight vital cuts in public spending and threatening strikes that could cause massive disruption for ordinary families.

"By financing their other work, like representing and recruiting members, taxpayers' money frees up union funds for political contributions and expensive campaigns.

"If big, rich, public sector unions are going to take an active political role, there is no way they should be getting taxpayers' money."

In total, trade unions received £85.8 million from public sector organisations in 2009-10, from direct payments and in wages for officials.

The full amount paid by public organisations to trade unions in South Yorkshire and surrounding area totals £2,357,827.

It also includes £16,521 paid by Bassetlaw Council, £27,084 by Chesterfield Council and £20,043 by North East Derbyshire Council.

At the area's primary care trusts, which run local NHS services, Barnsley PCT paid £51,459 for staff working on union activity, NHS Sheffield paid £32,500, and £2,708 was spent by Doncaster PCT. Rotherham did not respond to a request for information.

Trusts running Barnsley Hospital paid £407,339 to union officials, Sheffield Children's Hospital paid union officials £44,688, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals £32,500, Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital £17,875.

Hospital bosses in Rotherham and Doncaster did not respond to requests for information.

Of other local bodies who provided information to the Taxpayers' Alliance, Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Trust paid £37,917, while South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue paid £14,083.

Yorkshire Forward, not included in the £2.3 million total, paid £101,022 to three full and one part-time worker for union activities.

Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Mental Health Trust did not provide information.
