Worsbrough ward – No Candidate

Even though we obtained the nomination signatures for a candidate in the Worsbrough ward in record time, it is a disappointment that our candidate had to pull out at the last minute. This would have been the first time that Barnsley BNP would have stood a full slate. The fact we have 2 candidates standing in the Old Town ward still goes to show that support for the BNP is growing in Barnsley. The opposition are really using every tactic they have to try and stop our advancement, in the Darton West ward they are standing an Independent candidate who has actually stood twice as a Conservative candidate and just happens to reside at the same address as the recently retired Leader of the Conservatives in Penistone; it would be interesting to see if she is still a fully paid up member of the Tories, surely if she wanted to be an Independent Councillor she would stand in her own ward where she is known. Even more frightening is the fact that Labour and the Tories choose to work together, this just shows you can’t trust any of them.
