It is immigration from the Third World that has caused Britain’s population to swell so dramatically in recent years.
New research by the Governments Office for National Statistics revealed that between 1991 and 2006, 2.3 million immigrants arrived to live permanently in Britain with the vast majority of them coming from Africa and Asia.
During the same period, around 1.6 million Britons left the country – emigrating in the main to Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Western Europe.
Since 1997 1.8 million foreign born economic migrants have also come to Britain to look for work.
The figures undermine the Government’s claim that the majority of immigrants come from the new EU member states and that they return home. The reality is that those who come are almost entirely from Third World countries and they are unlikely to ever return home.
