Barnsley get ready for Remembrance Sunday

Only days before Remembrance Sunday, Barnsley BNP representatives attended the full council meeting at Barnsley Town Hall. Much to their dismay, it was noticed that only 50% of the towns councillors were actually wearing a poppy, but yet they will turn out in force this Sunday, masquerading round the cenotaph as though they actually care.

Over the road from Barnsley Town Hall is where you will find Barnsley Building Society, who are proudly flying the Union Flag, ready for this Sunday mornings remembrance parade; only, it's upside down. After a telephone call to them explaining that some of the good folk of Barnsley may take offence or actually be quite upset at seeing the flag flown in this manner, the secretary who took the call said she would pass the message on and try to get the mistake rectified. Considering that all the front windows of the town hall overlook the building society, we were surprised that nobody in the building thought of informing them over their mistake.

I haven't mentioned the flag flying over Barnsley Town Hall yet; well, that's because there isn't one. It may go up over the weekend, but don't be too surprised if it doesn't. Once again Barnsley BNP will be showing their true support on the day and as mentioned above, they have hopefully saved some people from major embarrassment.

We are pleased to announce that Barnsley Building Society have corrected their mistake. Saturday 8th November
