Left Wing Demonstration

Approximately 25 activists from the British National Party held their weekly paper stall in Barnsley town centre this Saturday. A regular and expected addition to the town centre the stall has become synonymous with the open and friendly nature of our party, a point which the media never portray.

Much to the disillusionment of the unwashed anarchist faction that reach .0001 on the scale their websites state that they must reclaim the streets of Barnsley, especially the town centre as the British National Party has become too much of a regular feature in the town and certainly an acceptable, open party with whom the public enjoy talking to and buying‘The Voice Of Freedom’ the party's monthly newspaper.

As we are a legal political party that believes in freedom of speech and selling our paper, as we have every right to do, we do not intend to go anywhere or be intimidated by some ultra left wing teachers from Barnsley college, social workers from Doncaster and ‘Mayor - John Parkinson, let alone the other councillors who are afraid their expenses gravy train may well be about to stop!

So a mass demonstration was called on a National level with trade unions and left wing activists from all over the UK expected to attend. We the British National Party are used to these rallying calls and were expecting the usual 10 students each claiming their £40 to attend a demo, so when they managed to scrape together 40 people ( including 3 councillors ) Mr Clapham MP and other 'pensioner threatening' smaller individuals from the corridors of the council, we were quite surprised.

At this point I think it is fair to say that South Yorkshire police did a very good job when responding to the demo by the unwashed as the local Labour run newspaper 'Barnsley chronic' advertised the event, which is not only unethical but completely biased.

During the last week the police bill to cover this demonstration in the town and a demonstration at a local meeting we had at the Fleets was in excess of £5000. This money could be put to far better use. We the British National Party have never required a police presence in the town selling papers or at any of our meetings so this bill was solely created by the demonstrations. Congratulations Mayor Parkinson, Councillor Sheard, Phil Lofts and all you other officials from Barnsley council. YOU just cost the tax payer an extra £5000.

As the demonstrators appeared near the British National Party paper stall they chanted for 10 minutes to the bemusement of local shoppers (none of whom clapped their antics) and our paper sales went through the roof as locals stood in defiance of these fools and bought a record breaking number of papers.

THANK YOU to the citizens of Barnsley who stood with us and showed their overwhelming support and gazed in amazement at the oppositions weak attempt at intimidation. We appreciate your support and will not fail you when elected to council.

If you have had enough of these MP's and Councillors with their snouts in the trough then VOTE BNP on June 4th and every upcoming election, for we will give you the service you desire and we WILL put YOU FIRST!

Below are a couple of comments from some well known UAF activists (taken from UK Indymedia) and they call us the thugs....

Let's kick them off the streets

All well and good, but the BNP could have actually been stopped from selling in Barnsley today. When this has occurred in the past it took only small numbers of determined people. The last time Antifa took their papers off them they didn't hold a stall for more than a month. It's good to see people opposing the BNP in Barnsley, but unfortunately it will take more than slogans to get them off our streets.

"More than slogans"

Yes Antifascist, I agree that the BNP should be physically stopped from having a platform in Barnsley (and everywhere else). I think there's also a role for actions like today's which try to involve wider forces - some of whom would not be able/prepared to physically stop the BNP from selling their paper etc.
