On the 22nd Of June the Yorkshire Regiment are to use their Regimental Freedom rights and will be marching through the town of Barnsley with their newly presented Colours flying, Bayonets fixed and Drums Beating, according to tradition. The Parade will be stepping off from Churchfield at 1045 hrs and follow the route as detailed on the map below. The Parade will be led by The Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band, followed by the Colours Guard and two guards of soldiers dressed in desert combats to reflect their recent return from Afghanistan. The Yorkshire Regiment are due to be Presented their new Regimental Colours on the 18 June 2010 at a special ceremony in Imphal Barracks, York. More Here
