It was a scorching Tuesday morning in Barnsley town centre and hundreds of well-wishers lined up against the barriers to welcome home the Yorkshire Regiment. Cheers and applause echoed through the town centre as these brave lads marched.
Unlike the shocking scenes in Dagenham last week where the Royal Anglian soldiers were abused by muslims, Barnsley folk did them proud.
Forget the world cup, these are the true heroes of this country. Welcome home lads, we're proud of each and every one of you.
