Speeches Made at BNP Meetings – by Paul Harris

.
On taking on the role of Barnsley BNP Organizer in July 2004 (a role which I recently passed over to my excellent colleague and friend Ian Sutton) I knew that I would be required to stand and lead the group by introducing meetings and delivering speeches to Party members and supporters. I had very little previous experience of speaking to large groups of people, the last time being at university when I had delivered talks on technical subjects. I realized that when making a speech it is first and foremost necessary that you have a precise plan of what you’re going to say so that the speech flows smoothly and you are not jumping from one subject to another saying the first thing that comes into your head. I decided that the best approach would be to write out the speech in detail and spend a few hours reading it and memorizing it.

The first proper public meeting we held was on the 10th March 2005 in the function room of a Barnsley public house. I wrote and delivered a very brief introductory speech at this meeting as follows:-

Hello and thanks for coming to the meeting. My name is Paul Harris and I am the Barnsley Organiser of the British National Party. It’s my job to build up the party in Barnsley, to promote the Party and recruit members, organize leafleting sessions and meetings such as this, and provide a focus for the Party to get established in Barnsley. It’s also my job to organize candidates to stand in elections for Barnsley Council and also in General Elections. I myself have already stood in two local elections in which first time I received 10.7% and second time 14.5% of the vote. I believe that within 4 or 5 years we can win a council seat in Barnsley, probably in the town centre. We only need to motivate the 70% of people who don’t vote in local elections – many of them because they don’t think any of the candidates from the old parties are worth voting for. By the way in case anyone was wondering this is a purely voluntary role. I am doing it because I believe very strongly that it’s right.

As part of our policy we have to oppose the establishment of foreign cultures and religions in our country. Our small group in Barnsley has already mounted a very effective campaign against the opening of an Islamic Centre on Dodworth Road. In response to a request for help by people living near the proposed centre we distributed leaflets in that area opposing the centre and had a very good write up in the Barnsley Chronicle and Barnsley Star, followed by several letters including one by myself. We came out of this as the good guys, supporting local people against an oppressive and unjust system. Of course the Islamic Centre was approved as the members of the Planning Committee dare not do anything else. It is a disaster for the people living in that area and they are very upset by it.

I would now like to pass you over to our first speaker, Wakefield Organizer ************

My next speech was at our meeting at the same venue on the 14th July 2005, just after Muslim terrorists had killed 52 people and injured 700 in the London bombing outrage on the 7th of that month. The text of this speech is as follows:-

Hello and thanks for coming to the meeting. My name is Paul Harris and I have been the Organizer of the Barnsley Group of the British National Party for about 12 months. I am intending to stay the course and build up the BNP in Barnsley to the position where we can win elections and take council seats. Most of us in the BNP are not professional politicians – we’re just ordinary people who feel that the so-called professional politicians are leading this country to disaster and we have to do something about it.

I’m not going to talk about the Muslim terrorists. I have only one comment to make on that subject. If this is what happens with 2 million Muslims are in the country what will it be like when there are 10 million.

The Established political parties keep saying that the BNP is a one issue party – that issue being immigration. What I don’t think they understand is that immigration is THE biggest issue and greatest threat that this country has ever faced. They don’t seem to see that many other issues such as law and order, housing, the environment, hospitals, schools, are all affected in a major, very negative way by allowing large numbers of people to live here from the third world. And for such an important issue, amazingly, we are the only organization with any practical solutions to offer.

Did anyone see the editorial in this weeks Barnsley Chronicle entitled ‘Why We Must Be Open to All Races and All Faiths’, telling us that Barnsley is now the destination for immigrants from all corners of the earth, and we must welcome them. Apparently they bring ‘immeasurable cultural, moral, and commercial benefits’. Well I sent a letter into the Chronicle to ask if the British people are getting all these benefits from immigration why is it that in London where immigrants are a high and increasing percentage of the population the indigenous British people are leaving in droves to live in predominantly white areas in the South East, South West, and Midlands. The reason people are leaving London is because they don’t want to live in a multicultural society. They want to live amongst their own kind.

Basically the Chronicle is trying to sell us a big lie. I believe though that it’s Barnsley Council who knows how unpopular their policies are that have put pressure on the Chronicle to print this rubbish.

The Government always argues that Britain needs these immigrants to fill job vacancies and to boost the economy. Also that due to the low birth rate amongst the white population we need immigrants to make up the numbers. Now this would seem like a fairly good argument until you examine it carefully.

Firstly - there ARE job vacancies to fill, if you look in the Barnsley Chronicle on a Friday. But if in this country there are, say, half a million job vacancies, so you allow in half a million immigrants, you will then need more shops and banks and taxi drivers and hairdressers, and so on, to cater for these immigrants. So basically half a million immigrants fills half a million vacancies, but then goes on to create another half a million vacancies. So you have to bring in another half a million immigrants to fill these. So as you see it’s never ending. There will always be half a million vacancies to fill no matter how many immigrants you allow in.

The second argument is that because people are living longer and there is a low birth rate amongst white people we need immigrant workers to pay taxes and national insurance to keep the economy afloat and pay pensions. But the truth is that many of the immigrants in this country pay no taxes or national insurance because they are working illegally. Also a large proportion of immigrants are actually an increased burden on the state. We all know that a large number of them are claiming benefits. That’s what attracted them to this country in the first place.

An example - if you are a Pakistani with eight children and no skills you would have no chance of finding a job that would pay more than the social would pay in benefits. Or if the Pakistani was working and getting family tax credits or whatever other benefits, they are still taking out more than they are putting into the system. So there is no economic benefit to this Pakistani being in the country.

It is true though to say that the birth rate of the indigenous white people is low - only 1.7 children per woman. The birth rate required just to replace the people who die is 2.2 children per woman. So if this birth rate continued for ever the white race in Britain would literally die out in a few hundred years.

But I believe that this low birth rate is an entirely natural phenomenon and is due to the overcrowded towns and cities that we live in and the daily stresses of all living so close together. I believe if the population of this country did fall to say 25 – 30 millions, approx. half of what it is now, then the birth rate would naturally increase back up to around 2.2 children per woman. The population would then stabilize at around the 25 – 30 million level.

In any case we are always told by the environmentalists that we are consuming resources at too high a rate and there is too much waste produced. They say that we need to change our lifestyles to use less energy and natural resources. The word is sustainability.

Well rather than change our lifestyles which would be a very difficult thing to do as we are used to a certain standard of living, why not just reduce the number of people consuming those resources. This is exactly what the white race has been doing in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. The birth rate of white people in these areas is approx. the same low rate as it is in Britain.

So basically white people are in tune with the environment and conserving resources by producing fewer people in the next generation. And what is our reward for doing this? Our reward is to be invaded by millions of people from the third world whose birth rate is 5, 6, or even 7 children per woman. It is this which is going to lead to environmental catastrophe.

Of course the environment is directly affected by the number of people on the planet or in any particular country. Our own environment in Britain for example. Everyone, even the hard left communists that we have to contend with, enjoy open spaces, green fields, and the countryside. But what the reds seem unable to grasp is that if you dramatically increase the population of the country you also are going to see a dramatic reduction in the number of open spaces and green fields, as housing, schools, hospitals, roads etc must be built for them.

The green belt areas were created around towns to try and stop this development. But now these areas are under great pressure to be built on, due mainly to allowing over 200,000 immigrants a year to settle in this country. The word they use is ‘regeneration’ but what that actually means is building new roads, vast new housing estates and shopping malls etc. They call it regeneration to make it sound like it’s a good thing. This is why this BNP leaflet ‘Stop the Building’ is my favourite leaflet.

Thank you for listening.

These first attempts at public speaking went very well everything considered, and I went on to introduce and speak at all of our meetings in Barnsley. I was also asked to speak at several Wakefield Branch meetings. We will be publishing a selection of these speeches on this site in the months to come.

More Speeches Made at BNP Meetings – by Paul Harris

This article follows on from an earlier article which published two speeches I made to BNP meetings in Barnsley. Here two more speeches are published which I made to the Wakefield Branch.

Speech Delivered on Wednesday 22/6/05 at the Black Bull Hotel in Castleford

My name is Paul Harris and I am the Barnsley Organiser of the British National Party. Today I’m going to speak for a short time on British patriotism. It’s something that I’m preparing for the RWB and it’s going to be entitled ‘Why We Should Be Proud to be British’. This is to counter the Establishment line that patriotism is not to be encouraged and it is even racist to be a British patriot. It will be designed to make people proud of who they are and where they come from, and hopefully encourage them to fight hard to hold onto this country.

As we all know Britain is a small island in Western Europe with a population that is a tiny proportion of the world’s total population. In terms of size it is insignificant when compared to say Russia or China which are far larger countries with many times our population. But this tiny island with its small population has had an enormous impact on world history. No other country on Earth can claim to have shaped the modern world anywhere near as much as Britain.

My display at the RWB is going to be divided into 7 categories.

1) Modern civilization
2) World exploration
3) The English Language
4) Arts and Culture
5) Science and technology
6) Sports and recreation
7) Defenders of freedom and democracy.

I will now run through each of these categories highlighting the British achievements in each category.

First – Modern civilization.

Britain was the first country in the world to have a democratically elected parliament. This started in the 13th century and has developed into what it is today. That is why our parliament is called the ‘mother of parliaments’
It was in Britain that many of the freedoms that we take for granted in the modern world were first established. This started with the Magna Carta in 1215, and included the Bill of Rights in 1688 and female suffrage in 1928.
It was in Britain that people first moved from a basically rural farming lifestyle to living in towns and working in factories. This is known as the Industrial Revolution and has since spread all around the world.
Also in education. Before the loony left philosophies took hold we had an education system that was clearly the best in the world. Our universities of Oxford and Cambridge were the first to be set up in the world.
Our Police force was the first fully professional force to be set up in the world. There are many other examples of modern institutions that were originated in Britain and have since been copied all around the world. These include the English common law and the Jury system.

Second – World exploration

Britain in common with other European countries such as Spain played a major part in world exploration and mapping in the 16th to 19th centuries. Britain has always been a great seafaring nation and has sent out many explorers to discover new lands. For example Australia and New Zealand were discovered by Captain James Cook in the 18th Century. And although it was Columbus who discovered America it was the Pilgrim Fathers who set off from Plymouth to set up the first colony in what has now become the USA.

Third – the English language.

As we all know English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Wherever you are in the world today you can always find someone who can speak English. It has become the world’s universal language. There are at this moment many millions of people around the world learning English. Also it is undoubtedly the richest and deepest language in the world.

Fourth – Arts and Culture

It is widely acknowledged that William Shakespeare was the best writer that has ever lived. Even now over 400 years after his death his plays are world famous and are performed all over the world. How many other writers can claim that distinction? And he was British. Also we have many other great world class artists – from Charles Dickens, Henry Moore, the Bronte Sisters, many British painters and composers, to in modern times The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and even Take That and the Spice girls.

Fifth – Science and technology

Britain has a long and distinguished history of technological innovation. From the steam engine, invented by Thomas Newcomen in 1712, to the jet engine invented by Frank Whittle, to John Logie Baird who is credited with the invention of the television. There is no modern technology now existing that has not had a major input from British inventors and engineers. Notable British scientists include Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Thomas Faraday, and James Maxwell.

Six – Sports and Recreation

It is common knowledge that the world’s most popular sport, football was originated in Britain. It was the British who first formulated the rules of association football whereby two teams can compete on an equal basis. Most of the best known and best loved sports in the world were also invented by the British, including rugby, cricket, golf, tennis, hockey, boxing, badminton, and squash.

And finally Britain has always been a great defender of freedom and democracy in the world. From taking on the Nazi war machine single handed in 1940, going back to the First World War and the Napoleonic wars. Britain has a proud military tradition and her armed forces are second to none. We have some of the toughest military units in the world such as the SAS and the paratrooper regiments.

So in conclusion Britain has a long and glorious past and we have every right to be proud of our country and its contribution to the modern world. The Establishment line that Britain and the British are nothing special is exposed as a great lie. Britain can truly claim to be one of the greatest nations on Earth.

Speech Delivered on Wednesday 28/6/06 at The Old Castle Hotel, Pontefract

My name is Paul Harris and I am the Barnsley BNP Organiser. I have been the Organiser for nearly 2 years now and I intend to stay the course and build up the party in Barnsley.

Some people are thinking that we in the BNP are facing an impossible task – the forces against us are too powerful. The entire British Establishment is against us including all the other major and minor political parties, both on a local and national scale, all the trade unions in this country, the entire British media including all local and national newspapers, the BBC and all Independent TV companies, and all denominations of the church including the Church of England. Also we have many so-called anti-racist organisations against us, like UAF and Searchlight, all supported by public funds. The combined resources of all these organisations is truly enormous running into billions of pounds. They have literally bottomless pockets that they can reach into to beat us in elections.

As you will know there has been a ferocious campaign of vilification in the British media, unprecedented in the history of British politics. No opportunity is missed by political or trade union leaders to launch a tirade of abuse against the BNP and its members. No term of abuse is too severe for us. Many public service employers such as the police, fire service, civil service, armed forces, prison service etc, etc have stated that members of the BNP are barred from holding positions in their organisations. Every election brings out a new round of horrible insults and abuse hurled at our party from all angles. So you can’t blame some people for losing heart and thinking it is impossible to beat the opposition. But lets have a look at how our party is faring in such a political climate.

In Barnsley we first stood candidates in the 2003 local elections and were severely attacked in the local press including the Barnsley Chronicle and Barnsley Star. They called us the usual names – Nazi’s, bigots, haters, worthless scum etc, etc.

I stood in Monk Bretton and another chap stood in the Darton Ward.
In the Darton election campaign we worked quite hard and distributed 2 different leaflets around the entire ward – that’s about 5000 houses. On the day received 199 votes or 9.9% of the vote.
This year Ian Sutton stood in the reorganised Darton ward, did about the same amount of work and distributed 2 different leaflets. On election day he received 701 votes. That’s an increase of 350 per cent in 3 years.

In the Monk Bretton ward where I stood in 2003 we received 193 votes or 10.3% after distributing 2 leaflets as before. This year my wife Sue stood in the same ward and without distributing any leaflets at all she received 323 votes. That’s an increase of 67 per cent with no work at all.

Any other party would be delighted with an increase of 67%, never mind a swing of 350%. When you consider that the Tony Blair Government was elected in 1997 on a swing across the country of only 10% from Tories to Labour we can see that a 67% increase is absolutely enormous. And this 10% swing was the biggest ever in British politics in a General Election. So we can see why the Government is worried. If this rate of growth in support continued within 10 – 12 years we would hold nearly every council seat in Barnsley.

It may be the case though that with this country at the moment being relatively prosperous it is unrealistic to expect this rate of increase in support to continue. There are jobs available – maybe not all on good wages, but they are there. So people can generally pay their mortgages, run a car, and feed their families. Many people will not be tempted to vote for an anti-Establishment party – when that Establishment has provided them the material comforts in life.

But how secure are the economic good times that we are now experiencing in this country? To get an idea of our true economic strength just look at manufacturing industry in this country which has been in recession for 6 or 7 years now. Over a million jobs lost in manufacturing in the last 10 years. Many factories are closing down and transferring jobs to China or Eastern Europe. Contrast this with Germany which has a very strong manufacturing base and is a strong exporter worldwide. They made a trade surplus in 2005 of 110 billion pounds whereas monthly we have a trade deficit of around 5 billion pounds. Our economy is largely based on service jobs but how secure are these.

I believe economic prosperity in this country is based on two factors. Firstly - the enormous growth in credit over the last 10 years. British people now owe 1.2 trillion pounds. We owe twice as much on credit cards as the rest of Europe put together. The average amount owed by every adult in this country is £25000. Britain’s personal debt is growing by a million pounds every four minutes. The banks are throwing money at us without checking properly if we can pay it back. Secondly the economic boom is based on rapidly inflating house prices. A house that was worth 35 thou 4 years ago is now worth over 100 thou. People feel rich because their houses are worth so much more – so they go out and spend on cars, holidays, and other luxuries. Across the board this puts a huge amount of money into the economy which increases everyone’s apparent wealth.

But this apparent economic well being in this country is an illusion. It’s a bubble that’s going to burst. It’s based on debt and on unsustainably high house prices. There is going to come a day of reckoning. I believe the banking industry in this country will almost collapse when they realise that a large amount of the money it has lent out will never be recovered. Assets they thought they had will be shown to be worthless. So they will start calling their loans in. Many people will be made bankrupt because they can’t pay. With the sudden drop in confidence businesses will fold and the housing market will crash. This will lead to massive unemployment. Only then will people realise that they have been cheated by the Labour Government. They have been given the illusion of wealth so that they would not object to the multi-cultural dreams of Labour politicians.

Most of the Labour party now in power are actually unreconstructed Marxists who hate this country because of its past colonial history and want to destroy its social structure and traditions and replace it with a new Utopia of racial harmony. In this fantasy world people of all races and creeds will live side by side in harmony and mutual appreciation of each others cultures. They know that to achieve such a goal against the clear wishes of the indigenous people of Britain – the people who built the country up to be an attractive place to settle for the worlds migrants – they will have to engineer an economic boom. People will then be too busy enjoying themselves and their new found prosperity to object to the mass immigration that they planned.

So they took no measures to limit the amount of credit available in this country. They took no measures to control ridiculous house price inflation - in fact they lowered interest rates to encourage it. They took no action because these things were critical to help them achieve their main priority. The creation of a multi-cultural wonderland in Britain.

And when bombs go off on the London underground, or another Muslim terrorist cell is uncovered. When blacks and Asians are fighting each other on the streets of Birmingham. When the whole country is like an unexploded bomb with racial tension. None of this shakes their faith in their multicultural dream. The reason is that multiculturalism is not just an idea or social philosophy – it’s a religion and just as with all religions its blind faith that drives the believers. Facts or reality are not important to them. It’s just blind faith.

Only the BNP can deliver us from these misguided idiots in the Labour Party. When the crash happens, and it won’t be long now, the country will react against the establishment and vote for the BNP. If the crash happens before the next General Election we may be successful in having MP’s elected.
